RECO Lift Solutions installs a temporary passenger lift at Spånga station (S)

Railway station Spånga is becoming a new elevator. Therefor the existing elevator needs to be deinstalled. During the reconstruction period of 10-12 weeks, the old elevator can`t be used. To maintain a barrier free acces to the platforms, a temporary RECO passenger lift has been installed by RECO Lift Solutions from the Netherlands.

Local authorities and Storstockholms Lokaltrafik AB (SL)  required to keep Spånga station accessible for train passengers during the reconstruction period. SMW Elevator AB from Upplandsväsby found a cost effective solution in hiring a temporary RECO passenger lift, type PP (Plug & Play). “We know RECO Lift Solutions` solutions from its temporary passenger lift at subway station Odenplan in Stockholm. If requested by RECO, we provide service to the elevator”, says Sefan Wallberg, general manager of SMW Elevator.

Installation of the temporary passenger lifts in 4 hours

The advantage of a short installation time (within 4 hours), was key for SMW Elevator to choose for a RECO PP-lift. The RECO-lift cabine, equal to Spånga`s permanent lift’s cabine, makes the lift user-friendly and easy to operate. Comfort is being improved by a closed shaft and a silent 0,8 m/s speed gearless traction drive.

With the installment of a RECO PP-lift, SL`s passenger needs like a barrier free access to the platforms, safety and comfort hereby have been fulfilled.
