External passenger lift and staircase deployed at Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn (NL)

A full renovation of Paleis Het Loo and yet still accessible to the public; Paleis Het Loo offers a temporary attraction by means of a passenger lift on the outside of the palace for an impressive view from the palace roof. As an equipment hire specialist, RECO has managed to win this wonderful order from Paleis Het Loo. Three galleries with a staircase and a temporary lift offer visitors a unique view from the roof and a glimpse of the renovation work.

Over the past few months, our specialists worked out a consultancy plan aimed at keeping the location accessible despite the renovation work. Within six and a half working days, the temporary outdoor structure with power supply, passenger lift and pedestrian walkways was installed by our technicians. With an outdoor arrangement of three galleries, visitors can follow the renovation work in the building. The stairs and temporary passenger lift also take visitors to the more than 20-metre-high roof of the palace.

First GEDA passenger lift with glass doors

To offer visitors an optimum experience of the surroundings, Paleis Het Loo asked RECO Lift Solutions to equip the existing GEDA passenger lift with glass lift doors. Unfortunately, these doors were not yet available when the lift was installed. This is the first delivery ever with glass cabin doors. Since Monday 25 June '18, visitors have had a wonderful view of the gardens from the lift cabin.
